A. Wolf
A. Wolf - 22 year old artist. On my computer I have a big folder of pictures and writings that inspire me. Instead of eating up harddrive space I'm just going to put them here, and try and keep track of the hundreds of directions my brain goes in at once.

Against Me! has been one of my favorite bands since I was 14. I’ve come to love them more and more with every album and live show that I’ve been to. (esp their performance at the Bowery Ballroom last june that rocked SO.FUCKING.HARD). And while I’ll be mourning my insatiable lust for Tom Gabel, I am so overwhelmingly excited to come to love him as Laura Grace and see what the next album brings. It’s going to be a challenging transition for her, being so well known, and I know the backlash of ignorance is probably going to frustrate and sadden me to no end, but it’s going bring so much awareness to the trans and allied communities. How extraordinarily punk rock.
“And if I could have chosen, I would have been born a woman
My mother once told me she would have named me Laura
I’d grow up to be strong and beautiful like her
One day, I’d find an honest man to make my husband
We would have two children, build our home on the Gulf of Mexico
Our family would spend hot summer days at the beach together
The sun would kiss our skin as we played in the sand and water
And we would know we loved each other without having to say it
At night, we would sleep with the windows of our house left open
Letting the cool ocean air soothe the sunburned shoulders of our children
There is an ocean in my soul where the waters do not curve
There is an ocean in my soul where the waters do not curve
There is an ocean in my soul where the waters do not curve
There is an ocean in my soul where the waters do not curve!”- “The Ocean” Against Me! 2007

I found a woman with a curious body suit on the edge of Washington Square Park. She turned out to be an artist named Galina Rybatsky, and she explained her work as such:
“When your pulse drops below 76, it funnels blood out of the mask and your vision is cleared. When your pulse rises above 76, the blood is funneled back into the mask and your vision is obscured. It’s designed to teach the user to be sensitive to environmental stressors, and to learn how these stressors affect the body.”
So cool!
